We are...

a German company established in 1952 and headquartered in Kiel, the capital of Germany’s most northerly state, Schleswig-Holstein.
Kiel is located on the Kiel Canal, the world’s busiest artificial waterway, and is famous as a port city with countless shipping lines, especially to Scandinavia and the Baltic states.

The “FreiraumMobiliar” (Urban Furnishings) division evolved here in the late 1960s and started to make a name for itself as early as 1972 by supplying exterior elements for several competition venues during the Olympic Games in Germany.
This was followed by demanding orders for public and street furniture all over the country: for the German Chancellery in the former capital of Bonn, at Germany’s landmark the Loreley on the banks of the Rhine River or the Grand Hotel Kempinski in Heiligendamm, where the G8 Summit was staged in 2007.

Today, we regard ourselves as a trendsetter oriented toward changing times. From the very start, we have been constantly on the lookout for individual solutions for customers and their respective needs. We draw inspiration from the spirit of the times without losing sight of what has already been tried and tested. And we are very much convinced: furnishing is not a state – it’s a process.
